Investment narrative.

AML Finance Limited is a regulated, credit-only microfinance institution in Tanzania focused primarily on financing small and medium-sized enterprises. Its business model targets the financing gap between conventional microfinance and commercial banking by offering larger loan amounts and longer tenors than are typically available from traditional MFIs. Its customers operate across sectors including trade, education and contracting.

AML operates through a centralized, single-branch model and served approximately 500 active borrowers as of March 2026. Although its customer base is relatively concentrated, its SME focus positions it to finance businesses whose capital requirements are too large for conventional microfinance but too small or insufficiently collateralized for commercial banks.

Spark+ financing will be on-lent to SMEs and traders operating within the clean cooking value chain, initially with a focus on LPG. Potential borrowers include LPG distributors, retailers and other businesses requiring working capital to purchase cylinders, cooking equipment and inventory. The facility will help these businesses increase product availability and extend the reach of modern cooking solutions through existing commercial distribution channels.
