Investment narrative.
BURN Manufacturing is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-quality, life-improving cooking solutions for the mass market in sub-Saharan Africa. The company is the only vertically integrated modern cookstove company in Africa, operating a solar-powered manufacturing facility in Nairobi with a capacity of over 50,000 stoves per month and employing over 600 people, 60% of whom are women.
The company produces a portfolio spanning biomass (charcoal and wood), hybrid forced-draft, LPG and electric models, supported by an in-house R&D team. Since its founding in 2013, BURN’s products have delivered energy access to 7.5 million people across 14 countries in Africa.
Spark+ financing is designed to provide patient growth capital. Proceeds support expansion into new markets, scaling local manufacturing capacity, and commercialization of new products including electric appliances, alongside working capital to fulfill large distribution and carbon-linked supply programs.
