Technology and business model.
Franchise network operator enabling the sale of basic goods, including LPG, to low-income consumers
Investment narrative.
Jibu leads a multi-country franchise network delivering essential household services to low- and middle-income urban and peri-urban consumers. The platform began with safe drinking water via franchised refill stations and has expanded into LPG, with direct operations in Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana and the DRC, plus Area Master Franchisees in Tanzania, Zambia, Burundi and parts of DRC. The model blends centralized product sourcing, financing and brand standards with local franchise entrepreneurship.
Spark+ financing will fund working capital and capex to scale the LPG business, especially the rollout of LPG refilling stations in Rwanda and Uganda, alongside broader LPG distribution.
